2011 "We Count on You!" Awards Luncheon

Congratulations to the 12 award winners from Tuesday September 27th at The Wildlife Experience for the 26th annual event!  Winners list below!

Success for "We Count on You!" lies in the DOVIA Recognition Committee including Chairperson Angel Tobin, and committee members Crystal Reed, Pamela Rhoads, Sarah Woolverton-Mohler and Susan Patston.  And a special thanks to Vicki Leigh for her continued support for WCOY!

Special thanks to Emcee Mitch Jelniker from KMGH Channel 7, who has such an amazing way of connecting with the audience.  Other notable thanks include The Wildlife Experience, Action Awards, Sarah Christian, the  Mountain Vista High School Jazz Ensemble and Director Darren Delaup for their support!

Awards were given for the following categories:

Individual Volunteer (Youth & Adult): awarded to an individual who serves as a role model for others, generates interest in volunteerism and contributes to an organization's daily operations.

Volunteer Group (Youth & Adult): awarded to a group of volunteers who display teamwork in the community through sustained activity.

Board Member: awarded to an individual for outstanding leadership of an organization at the board level.

Corporate Individual or Group: awarded to an individual employee or group of employees who have supported their communities through exceptional volunteer efforts.

Volunteer Engagement/Management: awarded to a volunteer administrator/leader with innovative methods, creative problem solving, effective use of volunteer time and talents towards meeting organizational goals and the ability to involve others.
